Stonehurst Place, a luxury bed & breakfast located in Midtown Atlanta, needed a revamping of their aging site to appeal to their ideal guests. They are the only property in the area to deliver an intimate, luxury, neighborhood guest room experience.
Prioritizing the information architecture set a solid foundation for the rest of the design
The priority was to make sure the site's structure was simple and help users reach any part of the site as fast as possible without any hidden content.
When we started talking to Stonehurst Place, their main problem was the lack of proper structure. Link loops were playing tricks on the user, a lot of content was difficult to find, and the overall navigation was convoluted.
I started by creating an improved sitemap. Prioritizing the information architecture set a solid foundation for the rest of the design.
The structure of each page is designed to be as effective as possible, getting the user where they need to go.
